SF vs. LA-moving from Chi-town?

Moving from Chicago. Which one's better? I think they both have beautiful skylines, with SF winning a little...but LA has nicer weather...I'm not sure if I would perceive SF's weather as cold coming from a place where the average January HIGH temp. is 29 degrees. However, 65 degree days in midsummer could get annoying (SF). So, which to pick. I like both.
