Does anyone get what the song Homecomming is about?

First of all I'm talking about the kanye song. I always thought that the song was a metaphor for Chicago, since he makes references to "windy" it being the windy city, and him saying "if u dont know by now, I'm talking about Chi town" but then my friend told me it was about his wife or something. What do you think?
